Sustainability / Branding / Pop-up Shop
Our whole class installed pop-up shop on campus and sell our designed products. As a designer, we have a wide-range of potential to bring meaningful experiences to user. I and Praew started to working together with idea of happiness and sustainability. During we sharing the idea, we realized about the problem of industrial wrapping paper. Typically, wrapping paper can be easily associated with gift or holiday which has an happy and positive imagery in people's mind. But, most of wrapping papers cannot be recycled. Also, people who is giving and receiving can feel guilty of trash away wrapping papers always.

TARGET AUDIENCE high-school students up to college students (the most wasteful generation)
Our group took a survey toward our target audiences (which is our generation)
According to our research, people in our generation are extremely wasteful because they either do not care or do not know how to reduce the waste in efficient way.
Over 50 percent of people feel guilty when they throw away wrapping papers after they receive gift.
The act of giving presents should be guiltless and the act of receiving should be burdenless too. The happiness that we share should not be tied down by environmental issues. Unfortunately, industrial wrapping paper that people usually used is non-recyclable.
Environmental facts about industrial wrapping paper are printed on the wrapping paper to educate users and raise awareness of recycling. We put either a plant or seed paper in this wrapping paper and sell them together. So, the plant that they raise reminds the facts about wrapping paper. This is a chance to give back to Mother Nature by giving the gift box to a friend or directly growing this plant in order to raise awareness of recycling!
